WHAT IS INNER WORK?

Inner work is a self-mastery practice based in ancient wisdom and modern science. It is about uncovering our true selves by examining the root cause of our deep-seated limiting beliefs, unconscious patterns, triggers, adaptations and defense mechanisms, and the physiological reactivity that cause us stress and hold us back.

 

Through inner work, we learn how to regulate our nervous system, cultivate inner peace, and become self-aware in all aspects of our lives.

The more conscious we are, the more we can operate from a place of authenticity, clarity, and compassion rather than reactivity.​​​​​​​ 

 

Inner work does not require years and years of expensive therapy or coaches. Once you know how to do your own inner work, you are empowered to practice it independently.

And I will be your inner work guide. 

​

Merging 20 years of leadership experience as a military veteran with my background in psychology and ancient wisdom practices, I have built InnerWrx as a resource for others seeking to have a positive impact in the world by living more consciously.

My Journey

​

​I’ve been on my own inner work journey for the last 10 years. Once I started doing "the work," it completely changed my life.My inner work journey started 10 years ago when I found myself at a major cross-roads in life. Recently divorced and feeling called to do some deep healing, I embarked on a two-year trip around the world. Backpacking across continents, I immersed myself in communities that taught me the fundamentals of inner work. As I applied these tools, I experienced a profound transformation that reshaped every part of my life.​Returning to the U.S., I brought these practices into my role as a military officer and into my relationships with family and friends. I realized that the most impactful way to create positive change in the world was to embody the values I sought in others. Through continued practice and training, I committed myself to mastering modalities of inner work to share these life-changing tools with others.​​​

 

My Approach​

​

As a graduate of Dr. Gabor Maté's Compassionate Inquiry program, I use a trauma-informed, compassionate approach that blends modern science with ancient wisdom. In our one-on-one sessions, we draw on Compassionate Inquiry, somatic experiencing, polyvagal theory, and meditation to uncover the unconscious patterns fueling stress and reactivity, revealing your authentic self and empowering you to harness your inner strength.​​​

 

Education and Training​

​

I hold a Master’s in Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Master’s in Human Resources Design from Claremont Graduate University. I am also a certified Yoga Nidra teacher, trained in the U.S. and India under Yogi Amrit Desai and Kamini Desai, PhD, and a graduate of Dr. Gabor Maté's Compassionate Inquiry program.​
